The is a 1.6 turbo specific group.
The 1.6 turbo makes it respectably quick, but most cars will still beat it.

There is one I’m in that’s suprsingly good & knowledgeable.

Parked cars are faster than juke with turbo.
Cars in car crusher are faster than juke with turbo.
Iron ore that will some day become a car is faster than juke with turbo.
Actually, I have no idea how fast Juke with turbo is... I just like bashing juke

According to C&D, 6.9 sec 0-60. Which is entirely respectable, but by no means fast. The only thing it could “blow the doors off” of is a minivan or maybe a truck towing a juke.

My second car had 0-60 in 3.5 years performance. 6.9 seconds is fast in comparison

How I look when someone laughs at my 1.6T mini
How I look when I bog first gear from a lack of torque.

Ugh. Reminds me of the Focus ST groups.
“HAY GUYZ i JUST PICKED UP THIS BBY WHAT MODS DO FIRST!?!?!?!”
Right up there with
“Just showed this BENTLEY/LAMBO/CADILLAC/CORVETTE/PORSCHE how we do it on the streets!” *cue a 10 second clip of his ST gradually passing a sports car cruising in the right lane*

Until I got my current car (which, by coincidence is also powered by a 1.6L turbo), I would have considered a 6.9 0-60 time exceedingly quick.
But mind you I came from this:
94 Sentra XE, 96 626 (i4), 88 S-10 Blazer (4.3), 04 Accent (3 dr), 04 Wrangler Sport, 02 Rav4, 00 New Beetle (2.slow).
And then I bought a FiST, and now I have fun picking on people who have no idea what a Fiesta ST is (the joy of getting to 40 MPH in VERY little time, in a Fiesta, and then watching people in cars they think of as fast, fly by me in an effort to prove...
something
... will never grow old... and is probably a feeling you know well with your Juke).
Also, for the record, I looked at the Juke when I was car shopping, but it didn’t compare favorably enough to the fleet of FoST’s I had test driven by that time. But the FoST still felt like it was missing something... and then I found my lightly used lease return FiST with the options I wanted... and it was history.
How is Juke ownership? What model did you end up with? Nismo? Nismo RS? Asking because I couldn’t get behind the sticker shock for the RS model... I appreciate the bells and whistles, but... man... that’s a lot of cash for a Juke.

yeah, but in comparison to modern cars, 6.9 0-60 is minivan speed. The 2018 Odyssey does it in 6.5.

I travel 10 miles from work home during rush hour... it takes me hour and a half.
My old car with 0-60 in 3.5 years would have been fast enough

lol, NYC or LA? My wife has a 1 hour, 17-mile commute in NYC. I have a 64-mile commute and routinely do it in 50 minutes or less.

Neither, but closer to NYC than LA.
We should outlaw all cars... and use mopeds... like they do in Dominican republic/vietnam
It’s one thing when you have 15 mopeds behind you... its another when you have inattentive driver traveling 75mph in an excursion/suburban
It would eliminate most traffic.
Also I want cops to use some sort of curtain system to hide the incident from passersby so no rubber necking.

As the owner of an unmodified seventh generation Civic, I dispute that claim. :P

Somebody: Hahahahahahaha...
Juke driver: I’ll show him
*tiny turbo spooling noises*...*slight acceleration*
Somebody: ...
*Juke pulls slightly ahead*
Somebody: Wait, is he trying to race me?

My truck is roughly the same. Supposed to be a couple tenths faster, fwiw on the street it’s fuck all in a big ship.
Can confirm not slow, doesn’t feel slow, more than enough to take most people unless they’re really trying... also can confirm not really fast either.

MFW I clean someone up, then look up their 0-60 time and find out it’s supposed to be faster than mine

I’ve been slow car slow for so long that now that I’m officially slow car fast, it feels like a world of difference. But I know I’m still in the slow car end of the spectrum with the modern pecking order.
Still is fun to see people at the *next* stop light when they got left behind by a Fiesta really try. Like, I’m not exactly sure what they are proving. Yes... your Mustang is in fact, faster than a stock FiST. Would you like a cookie? I think that’s the most fun factor, is that no one really expects a Fiesta (or a juke, or a V6 Rav4, or...) to do that. And my driving style is “get to about 3-4 over the speed limit as fast as possible, but never more”.

You want some fun... try a 3500 Express van with a 6L. Not fast, but shockingly quick.

Way back when... I used to drive a panel van for caller services at the post office. Wasn’t a 6L (dear lord) but without anything more than the two front seats and the van body/frame, it would make me pay attention if I tried to drive it like the other vehicle I had at the time (Wrangler sport).

I always recommend a short ram intake. If they are stupid enough to mod it the day it rolls off the lot, they deserve to suck in hot air.

I have a non-NISMO, but it did dyno 181whp/177wtq... stock. 188hp/177tq ( crank) my ass.
It’s a bit soft, but being my DD I don’t mind that.

Sadly, a problem with most communities where the “fanboy” (or fangirl, whatever) is present. These are the people whose self-esteem is tied to the success of a brand/ company/ car or other people liking said thing. They’re the ones that can’t see the faults in their own thing, while simultaneously being unable to see the good parts of a competing thing.
The Land Rover group I am a part of is pretty bad about this, while the Saab and Alfa groups are mostly made up of sensible (or in the case of the Alfa group senile) people.
